What is Bebop and Brew? An annual one-day benefit jazz concert and micro-brew tasting event. The day's music features a top name national headliner plus great regional jazz acts. Beer tasting is compliments of over 25 micro breweries from all over the western states. Where is Arcata? On the coast, about 6 hours drive north of San Francisco and about 85 miles south of Oregon. What about food? A wide variety of food, snacks, and non-alcoholic drinks are available from booths run by local non-profit groups. Why the new location? Because of increased logistic, financial, and environmental concerns, Arcata's City Manager requested a location other than Redwood Park. What's the new event site like? Bebop and Brew will take place in a fenced area on the fields adjacent to the Arcata Community Center, located at 300 Community Parkway, off Union Street, just north of Samoa Blvd. Here's a map. How will the new location change the event? For the first time, there will be no separate, fenced "Beer Garden." Brew tasting ticket holders can now enjoy the music along with their beer!  Since the new site is more centrally located with easier access and more parking, shuttle bus service will be discontinued. How do I submit a music promo package for booking consideration? Sorry, there will not be a Bebop and Brew in 2003 What about overnight accommodations?
